Current entry restrictions

  • Please be aware of the  current entry requirements that apply to flights to Germany. If you click on the link above, you will find information on the obligation to register, quarantine, test and provide evidence of vaccination that applies throughout Germany.

Austria

There are no longer any entry restrictions for entry into Austria. Covid-19 health certificate is no longer required.

Balearic Islands

As of June 2, 2022, travelers from the EU and countries associated with the Schengen Area will no longer be required to present Covid 19-related proof when entering Spain (either the EU Covid certificate or the Spanish Travel Health Portal entry form).

Bulgaria

Canary Islands

As of June 2, 2022, travelers from the EU and countries associated with the Schengen Area will no longer be required to present Covid 19-related proof when entering Spain (either the EU Covid certificate or the Spanish Travel Health Portal entry form).

Croatia

Entry to Croatia is possible from Germany, EU member states and third countries without pandemic-related restrictions.

Cyprus

You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

Entry into the Republic of Cyprus is possible without additional COVID-19-related proof, effective June 1, 2022.

If travelers test positive upon arrival or later, the Cypriot government commits to their care during their stay and to the care of close contacts. This means contacting them, placing them in a quarantine hotel, and covering the cost of lodging, meals, and medications. Quarantine is to last seven days; if the traveler is symptom-free, release occurs at the end of the seven days without further testing. Free testing is possible on the fifth day after a positive test with a PCR test (the test is counted as day zero); the cost of the test must be borne by the traveler. Information is provided on telephone numbers 1474 (in Cyprus) or +357 22 285 75 (from abroad).

France

On August 1, 2022, proof of vaccination, testing or convalescence will no longer be required when entering France from any country. This also applies to travel between continental France and French overseas territories.

Proof of the reason for travel in certain constellations ("compelling reason") has been eliminated. Likewise, an affidavit from travelers on their willingness to undergo antigen testing after entry is no longer required.

Germany

The following information is without guarantee and does not release the customer from his responsibility be informed about the necessary documents and to obtain them accordingly. Passengers must follow the regulations for entry in the currently valid version. Please note that these regulations may be subject to change.

Greece

Italy

You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

All Covid-19-related entry restrictions have been lifted for entry into Italy. This also means that no Covid-19 proof is required.

Madeira

All Covid-19 restrictions on entry to Madeira have been lifted. Information on the requirements is provided by the Madeira Tourism Authority.

 

Spain (Mainland)

As of June 2, 2022, travelers from the EU and countries associated with the Schengen Area will no longer be required to present Covid 19-related proof when entering Spain (either the EU Covid certificate or the Spanish Travel Health Portal entry form).

Switzerland

The border sanitary measures on entry into Switzerland are lifted with immediate effect. There is no longer any need to present proof of vaccination, convalescence or negative tests or to complete an entry form. See also Condor - Switzerland.
 

 

Turkey

There are currently no Covid-related entry restrictions for travel to Turkey. Proof of 3G is not required.

Armenia

Entry

Canada

Entry

We advise travelers to Canada to check the COVID-19: Entering Canada requirements checklist to determine which regulations apply to entry into Canada.

Effective October 1, 2022, all border measures and travel requirements will be lifted for air travel and for all travelers (including foreign travelers). This includes in particular

  •     Vaccination
  •     Covid 19 testing
  •     Quarantine and isolation

China

Entry

The entry requirements to China are updated frequently. Therefore, we kindly ask you to inform yourself about the entry regulations valid at that time on the website of the German Foreign Office and the Chinese Embassy - in particular with regard to any vaccination and test certificates required for entry as well as the application for a Green Health Code, which must be presented upon entry. Please note that special entry requirements may apply in the individual regions of China.

Cuba

In order to avoid unnecessary contacts during payment transactions, passengers must have a valid credit card.

Entry

  • The requirement for proof of vaccination against Covid-19 infection and a negative test is not applicable.
  • All travelers must submit a declaration of health status (Declaración Jurada de Salud) before departing for Cuba. This is mandatory to be submitted online via the government website DViajeros (gob.cu). Proof of registration must be presented at check-in and upon arrival in Cuba.

Cuban nationals

  • Cuban nationals with habitual residence in Cuba must also report to their local doctor or health authority within 48 hours of entry. If they are not vaccinated, a PCR test will be performed upon entry. There is an obligation to observe a quarantine of eight days in a designated hotel, and the traveler must bear the cost of accommodation and transportation. On the seventh day, a new test is performed, which, if negative, allows the quarantine to be lifted on the eighth day.
  • Cubans with permanent residence in Cuba and don't have Habilitacion sticker in their passport,
    a) can fly with an expired passport and without Prorroga.
    b) can fly, if the passport was issued in the last 2 years, a Prorroga is not required.
  • Cubans with permanent residence in Germany or other countries who do not have a Habiltacion sticker can fly without Prorroga.
  • Cubans with permanent residence abroad, with a Habilitacion sticker, must have a valid Prorroga and passport.
  • Cubans with migration status with a Habilitacion sticker -> Must have a valid Prorroga and valid passport.
  • In case of doubts as to whether a guest may be transported without Prorroga, the consulate in Bonn can be contacted by Email: Consuladobonn@de.embacuba.cu
  • Within the airport, there is an obligation to wear a mask.
  • You must also be able to prove that you have foreign health insurance against Covid-19 upon arrival in Cuba. As an alternative, Cuban health insurance for Covid-19 can be purchased at the airports in Cuba for 30 US dollars.
  • In order to enter the country, travellers must present a proper passport that is valid for at least six more months. The Cuban authorities do not explicitly accept temporary German passports.

Entry Cards

Our flight prices to Cuba do not include the costs for the entry card. You can purchase tourist cards for EUR 25.00 at the Condor ticket counter in Frankfurt and in the transit zone at Frankfurt airport, if you get to Frankfurt on a feeder flight. If you have booked your holiday through a tour operator, please contact them for information on fees for entry cards.

Health Insurance Coverage

Anyone travelling to Cuba will be obliged to provide proof of health insurance cover valid for Cuba for the intended duration of the stay. If possible, the ancillary policies issued by your insurance company should be in Spanish, but policies in German or English will also be accepted.

Travellers who do not have proof of sufficient insurance cover upon arrival in Cuba may take out a policy with a Cuban insurance company at the airport.

Dominican Republic

The cost of the tourist card to enter the Dominican Republic is included in the ticket price and will be paid by Condor to the authority. Exempt from payment are Dominican citizens and residents.

These can be refunded on the spot in the Dominican Republic against application. Further information regarding the refund process can be found at www.dgii.gov.do.

Entry

  • All travellers wanting to enter or leave the country are required to complete an electronic form ('e-ticket'). This has now replaced all previous forms for entry, customs and health-related purposes. Further information will be provided by the Dominican migration authority.
  • The presentation of a vaccination certificate or a negative coronatest is currently not a requirement for entry from Germany.
  • Temperature checks are carried out upon entry, and breath tests are also conducted at random. Travellers are required to take these tests.

Egypt

You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

  • Please register before departure via https://visitegypt.gov.eg/. After registering and /eu/uploading one of the health certificates (vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or test), you will receive a QR code.
    Alternatively, please download and complete the Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF), and take it with you to the airport in addition to your proof of health.
  • Since June 17, all entry requirements have been waived. Thus, neither a test nor proof of vaccination or recovery is required when entering Egypt.

Georgia

Entry

Foreign nationals are no longer subject to pandemic-related documentation requirements for entry into Georgia.

Jamaica

Entry

As of 20 April a proof of health is not applicable anymore. The online registration is recommended, but not mandatory.

Kurdistan-Iraq Region

Entry

Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to the Kurdistan-Iraq Region that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.

In addition, you are required to complete the following documents online prior to entry.

All passengers aged 12 years and above shall provide a certificate showing that they are fully vaccinated. The complete vaccination must be proven with a QR code such as in the European Vaccination Certificate.

Travelers for whom it can be proven that vaccination is not possible for medical reasons may enter with a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours at the time of entry

For quarantine regulations, please refer to the current regulations of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Health. Entry and exit possibilities at Iraq's land borders remain severely restricted. 

Lebanon

Entry

All guests 12 years of age and older traveling to Lebanon must register online. Upon registration, appropriate proof of vaccination status, convalescent status and/or a current COVID-19 test result must be /eu/uploaded. Generally, the negative result of a PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before boarding time or a rapid antigen test taken no more than 24 hours before boarding time must be /eu/uploaded from an official site (with QR code).

However, all persons with complete vaccination protection (i.e. persons whose last vaccination/booster vaccination was less than six months ago) are exempt from the requirement to provide proof of a negative test result prior to entry. Appropriate proof must be /eu/uploaded.

Also, persons who return to Lebanon within one week after leaving Lebanon are exempt from the requirement to present a negative test result upon re-entry. However, relevant proof of previous entry must be /eu/uploaded in the online platform.

Transit from Beirut to Syria
Passengers in transit via Beirut to Syria must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result no later than 48 hours prior to departure and undergo COVID-19 PCR testing upon arrival at their own expense.

This does not apply to Passengers:

  • with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days and no more than 6 months prior to departure, or
  • With a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure and have received a booster dose.
  • Passengers younger than 12 years of age.

Maldives

Entry

  • Booking confirmation from a resort for the entire duration of your stay must be presented.
  • Submission of an electronic entry declaration. This must be completed on the Maldivian border authorities' website within 48 hours before departure.
  • The Maldivian government recommends that travelers use the local tracing app TraceEkee.
  • Temperature checks are carried out upon arrival. Travellers with Covid-19 symptoms must take a PCR test at the airport, which is subject to a fee. Random tests may also be conducted free of charge.
  • Please additionally inform yourself about the current entry regulations on the website of the Maldivian government.

Mauritius

Entry

  • Regardless of vaccination status, travellers are not required to present a negative PCR test before flying to Mauritius, nor are they required to undergo testing upon arrival in Mauritius. Unvaccinated travellers are no longer required to isolate themselves upon arrival.
  • All travellers are advised to complete the all-in-one-travel-form prior to departure and hand it over to the immigration authorities upon arrival at Mauritius airport.
  • They must also provide proof of health insurance (in English) covering treatment for COVID-19.
  • Detailed information in German on (further) testing and proof requirements for entry and stay in Mauritius is provided by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA). Details are explained in the brochure "Travel Protocols" available there.

Mexico

Entry

Mexican health authorities do not currently require certification of health status or test results. Quarantine measures are not provided. However, fever is increasingly being measured and travelers may be required to undergo an examination if they show symptoms.

Seychelles

Entry

In addition, you are required to complete the following documents online before entering the country.

1. entry declaration

    Fill out the Travel Health Authorization via the website
    or via the APP
    a) iOS
    b) Android

Passport, passport photo, contact details, flight details, proof of all (certified) accommodations, negative PCR test result, proof of recovery and/or vaccination, proof of foreign health insurance with COVID-19 coverage, and credit or debit card are required for this. Processing may take up to nine hours.

2. Fully vaccinated persons
If fully vaccinated, no negative PCR test is required for entry for travelers 12 years of age and older,

3. Unvaccinated persons
Unvaccinated passengers 12 years of age and older must present a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours old at time of departure, or a rapid antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before departure.

United States of America (USA) & Hawaii

Entry to USA

  • Passengers must always be vaccinated. Please print, complete, sign and carry the confirmation of Covid-19 vaccination in duplicate -> Download confirmation Covid-19 vaccination.
  • Even persons who are only in the USA for transit must present proof of vaccination.
    There are exceptions to the vaccination requirement in a few cases.
  • Masks are compulsory during the flight and at the airports. Refusal to wear a mask is a violation of federal law and may result in denied boarding, disembarkation from the aircraft and/or the imposition of penalties under federal law. Children under the age of two are exempt from the mask requirement.
  • Please refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) quarantine recommendations, other entry requirements, and state and local quarantine regulations.

Entry to Hawaii
