Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to Greece that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.
1. QR Code
- Furthermore, you must register all passengers including all children at least 24 hours before departure via the Greek Civil Protection Agency website: https://travel.gov.gr/
We recommend to make this registration at the time of booking for all passengers.
Shortly after midnight on the day of arrival, you will automatically receive a QR code by e-mail or on your mobile phone, which you must show upon entry or departure (passengers with a permanent residence in Greece upon departure from Greece). The test is mandatory for all tourists (including children over 5 years).
*** Without this proof (QR Code) we unfortunately cannot transport you ***
2a. Negative Covid-19 test
A negative PCR test (in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian) must be presented upon entry and must not be older than 72 hours at the time of entry. The test is mandatory for all entrants (including children over 5 years of age).
2b. Proof of vaccination
If the traveler has completed his/her vaccination protection (i.e. 14 days have passed since the last vaccination, depending on the dose) and can confirm this by presenting the appropriate vaccination certificate (in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian), proof of a negative test is not required.
The list of acceptable vaccines are:
- Pfizer BioNtech
- Astra Zeneca/Oxford
- Johnson + Johnson/Janssen
- Sinovac Biotech
- Gamaleya (Sputnik)
- Cansino Biologics
2c. Proof of recovery
Travellers who have recovered from an infection in the last nine months may present a certificate of recovery in digital or written form instead of a negative test. This must be issued by an authority or a certified laboratory. Alternatively, a certificate from a certified laboratory or an authority confirming a positive PCR test with a note of recovery from an infection between two and nine months ago is sufficient.
All proofs must contain the full name of the person travelling, which must match the details in the passport or identity card. You can also find more information about this on the Greek Civil Protection Authority page.
