Entry Regulations within Europe and Worldwide

Here, you can find current information about entry regulations as well as information and tips for travelling with children and infants.

Even passengers with proof of vaccination or who have recovered from a Covid-19 infection are also required to provide proof of a negative corona test as part of the entry requirements of the respective countries.

Balearic Islands

Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to the Balearic Islands that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.

You are also required to fill in the following documents before arrival:

  1. Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF)
    a) fill in the form on the website www.spth.gob.es or
    b) download the SPTH App and fill out the form there.
     You will then receive a QR code that you should present when checking in.

Important information: You cannot complete the form without specifying your seat. We therefore recommend that you make a seat reservation either when booking or when checking in online. This will help ovidyou avoid long wait times at the airport.

2. COVID-19 Test
In addition, visitors must present a negative COVID-19 test result.

Requirements:

  • The test must have been taken within 72 hours before entry.
  • The negative test result must be presented in electronic or paper form (in English or Spanish) and contain the following information: name of the traveller, passport or identity card number (this number must be identical to the passport/identity card number used in the electronic entry form), test date, contact details of the laboratory and name of the laboratory assistant.

Canary Islands

Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to the Canary Islands that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.

You are also required to fill in the following documents before arrival:

  1. Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF)
    a) fill in the form on the website www.spth.gob.es or
    b) download the SPTH App and fill out the form there.
     You will then receive a QR code that you should present when checking in.

Access to the airport building
Please also be aware that visitors who are not travelling are not permitted to access the airport terminal. Only passengers and helpers accompanying passengers in need of assistance are allowed to enter the terminal building.

Germany

1. In principle, all guests must present a negative Covid 19 test result before travelling.

Proof of a negative Corona test result
All guests flying to Germany from high-incidence area or an area of variants of concern, risk and non-risk areas, require a negative Corona test result (antigen or PCR test) for their flight to Germany, which must not be older than 48 hours at the time of entry.

The test result must be available on paper or in an electronic document in German, English or French. For travelers returning from Spain (mainland and islands), there will be a special regulation with immediate effect, limited until the end of April. After that, Spanish-language test certificates will be accepted in addition to the previously valid languages during random border police checks when entering the country from Spain.  It must be able to be presented to the competent health authority immediately upon request within ten days of entry. The underlying test must meet the requirements of the Robert Koch Institute.

2. If you're entering Germany from another country and have visited a risk area in the last 10 days the following requirements for entry also apply:

  • Digital Registration on Entry.
  • Domestic quarantine:For passengers from risk areas, quarantine is generally compulsory in accordance with the applicable ordinance of the federal state you are entering. There are a number of exceptions that exempt you from quarantine. Please find out for yourself how the quarantine regulations are actually applied in your federal state.

Greece

1. QR Code

  • Furthermore, you must register all passengers including all children at least 24 hours before departure via the Greek Civil Protection Agency website: https://travel.gov.gr/
    We recommend to make this registration at the time of booking for all passengers.
    Shortly after midnight on the day of arrival, you will automatically receive a QR code by e-mail or on your mobile phone, which you must show upon entry or departure (passengers with a permanent residence in Greece upon departure from Greece). The test is mandatory for all tourists (including children over 5 years).

2a. Negative Covid-19 test
A negative PCR test (in english) must be presented upon entry. It must not be older than 72 hours at entry and must contain the name of the traveler and the number of the passport or identity card.

2b. Proof of vaccination
If the traveler has completed his/her vaccination protection (i.e. 14 days have passed since the last vaccination, depending on the dose) and can confirm this by presenting the appropriate vaccination certificate (in english), proof of a negative test is not required.

Madeira

You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

  1. Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF)

Please download this document in your chosen language, fill it out carefully and bring it to the airport with you for your departure.

You can choose whether you prefer to download the PLC form (PDF) or complete it online within 12 to 48 hours before departure.

Negative COVID-19 test result: On entry into Madeira, either a negative COVID-19 test, carried out no more than 72 hours before departure, must be presented. Alternatively, travellers can have a free COVID-19 test performed on entry, the result of which is usually available within 12 hours. Self-isolation in the hotel until the test result is received is required by the health authorities.

Turkey

You are also required to to complete the following documents online before arrival:

    • Negative COVID-19 test result: When entering Turkey, you must have a negative Covid-19 test result at check-in. This must have been issued no more than 72 hours prior to entry.

    China

    Entry

    Due to the highly regionalised entry regulations in China, we kindly ask you to inform yourself about the entry regulations valid at that time on the website of the German Foreign Office before you start your journey.

    Cuba

    In order to avoid unnecessary contacts during payment transactions, passengers must have a valid credit card.

    Entry

    • Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to Cuba that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.
    • All international travelers must present a negative PCR test upon entry and therefore also at check-in in Germany. The test must not be older than 72 hours on arrival and must have been issued by a certified laboratory.
    • All international airports in the country are open for entry, also for tourist purposes. Those entering the country must undergo a compulsory PCR test at the airport and make a declaration of health.
    • For travelers who have not planned their stay in a hotel designed for package tours, but would like to stay in a "Casa Particular" or any private accommodation, the following regulations apply: Immediately after entering the country, there is an obligation to stay in seclusion in a hotel assigned by the Cuban authorities for a fee until another negative test result is received.
    • The new test usually takes place on the fifth day after entry. The test result should be available after one to two days. Delays in individual cases cannot be excluded. Accommodation costs may vary depending on the hotel. The regulations also apply to persons residing in Cuba.
    • If the result is positive, the traveller must expect to be hospitalised and isolated in a hospital.
    • You must also be able to prove that you have foreign health insurance against Covid-19 upon arrival in Cuba. As an alternative, Cuban health insurance for Covid-19 can be purchased at the airports in Cuba for 30 US dollars.

    Entry Cards

    Our flight prices to Cuba do not include the costs for the entry card. You can purchase tourist cards for EUR 25.00 at the Condor ticket counter in Frankfurt, at the AHS counter in Munich and in the transit zone at Frankfurt airport, if you get to Frankfurt on a feeder flight.

    If you have booked your holiday through a tour operator, please contact them for information on fees for entry cards.

    Health Insurance Coverage

    With effect from 1 May 2010, anyone travelling to Cuba will be obliged to provide proof of health insurance cover valid for Cuba for the intended duration of the stay. If possible, the ancillary policies issued by your insurance company should be in Spanish, but policies in German or English will also be accepted.

    Travellers who do not have proof of sufficient insurance cover upon arrival in Cuba may take out a policy with a Cuban insurance company (for approx. 2-3 CUC per day of stay, depending on the insurance coverage) at the airport.

    Dominican Republic

    The cost of the tourist card to enter the Dominican Republic is included in the ticket price and will be paid by Condor to the authority. Exempt from payment are Dominican citizens and residents.

    These can be refunded on the spot in the Dominican Republic against application. Further information regarding the refund process can be found at www.dgii.gov.do.

    Entry

    • Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to the Dominican Republic that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.
    • From 29 November 2020, all travelers must fill out a standardized electronic form ('e-ticket') for entry and departure purposes. It replaces all previous forms for entry, customs and health purposes. Additional information is provided by the Dominican Migration Authority.
    • Upon arrival at the airports, random COVID-19 rapid tests are carried out. Travellers are obliged to participate in this - unless they can present a negative test result, which must not be older than 5 days before entry.
    • If the test result is positive, a COVID-19 PCR test is performed; if it is also positive, the traveler must be placed in quarantine. For this purpose, the Ministry of Health has established isolation wards where travelers receive the necessary care.

    Egypt

    You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

    1. Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF)

    Please download this document in your chosen language, fill it out carefully and bring it to the airport with you for your departure.

    • Temperature control regulations: they are obligatory at the boarding gate before boarding (regardless of whether they have already been carried out when entering the terminal). This applies both to the German-Egypt flights and to the Egypt-German flights. In addition, temperature control can be carried out at all egyptian airports.
    • Negative PCR test result: When entering Egypt, you must be able to present a printed negative PCR test result. This must have been issued no more than 72 hours before entry. The negative test result must include the date and time the swab was taken and must be presented in English or Arabic. For tourists entering Hurghada directly, there is the possibility of having the required PCR test carried out at the airport upon entry for a fee.

    Maldives

    Entry

    • Please note that registering your details when you book your flight only partly fulfils the requirements for entry to Maldives that you are required to meet based on the current exceptional situation.
    • Booking confirmation in a resort for the entire duration of the stay can be presented.
    • It is a mandatory requirement for all tourists to present a Negative result for a nucleic acid test (PCR test) for Covid-19 on arrival in English. The swab must not have been taken more than 96 hours before departure. Children under one year of age are exempt from the test requirement.
    • Submission of an electronic entry declaration. This must be completed on the Maldivian border authorities' website within 24 hours before departure.
    • The Maldivian government recommends that travelers use the local tracing app TraceEkee.

    Mexico

    Entry

    You are also required to to complete the following documents online before arrival:
    Please register and enter your data. Either
    a) Fill in the form on the page www.vuelaseguro.com and generate QR code (from 12 hours before departure) or
    b) Fill out in the app (possible at any time) and generate QR Code later (from 12 hours before departure).

    Mexican health authorities do not currently require certification of health status or test results. Quarantine measures are not provided. However, fever is increasingly being measured and travelers may be required to undergo an examination if they show symptoms.
