New: Deutsche Bahn voucher code

Since 13th January 2022, you will no longer receive a train ticket from us when you place your booking but instead a Deutsche Bahn voucher code sent via e-mail.

You can use this code to generate your train ticket at https://condor.bahnanreise.de/ before you embark on your journey.

You can find a Brief Guide to Redeeming Your Deutsche Bahn Voucher Code here.

  • Validity:

Rail&Fly tickets are only valid in conjunction with a Condor flight booking on all routes covered by the rail company Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) on all scheduled regular DB trains (included ICE, ICE Sprinter and IC/EC trains). The flight must have been booked as part of Condor’s “Nurflug Programme” (Condor Individuell). Rail&Fly cannot be combined with travel to special events.

Depending on the type of ticket (i.e. one-way or return), Rail&Fly tickets are valid on the day of the flight and also one day before departure and/or one day after arrival.

The maximum period between the outward and return legs of a Rail&Fly ticket is six months.

In the case of Condor customers travelling from German airports but arriving from abroad, the Rail&Fly ticket will only be valid from the German border.

  • Rail&Fly tickets are not valid
    • on DB Motorail services, Thalys trains or special (non-scheduled) trains.
    • within one ‘Verkehrsbund’ (public transport authority) if the departure and destination stations are both within the same Verkehrsbund.
  • Proof of identity (ID):

You will need to show proof of identity on the train in the form of your Rail&Fly ticket (via e-mail or as a printout), your flight itinerary and your identity card and/or passport.

In the case of reservations for more than one person, all passengers must travel together on the same train / the same route to and from the airport. Each person travelling must show proof of identity. If a person is unable to show their ID when tickets are checked, the Rail&Fly ticket will be invalid, and a new ticket must be purchased at the applicable regular (on-board) fare. Retrospective refunds of these costs are not possible.

  • Child reductions

Children aged 0 to 5 years travel free of charge within Germany when accompanied by an adult. Rail&Fly Tickets are not valid for unaccompanied children.

  • Punctuality

All Deutsche Bahn AG trains operating within Germany are available to you with a Rail&Fly ticket. Since delays can never be completely ruled out when using public transport, you should arrange your connections so that you will arrive at the check-in counter at your departure airport well before the final check-in time. Each traveller is responsible for ensuring that they arrive at the airport in good time. Condor can accept no liability for failure to reach the airport in time owing to delayed buses or trains.

  • Travel documents

For all Rail&Fly services booked separately as an extra either online at www.condor.com or via our Service Center, you will be sent a Deutsche Bahn voucher code by e-mail immediately once your reservation is complete.

For all other Rail&Fly services (e.g. Condor flight reservations with rail transfer (W2)) you will receive an e-mail including a Rail&Fly ticket as a PDF document within 72 hours after making your reservation. You can print out the PDF file directly.

If your Rail&Fly ticket has been sent by e-mail as a PDF document, you can print it out directly.

  • Changes of reservation

If you reserved the Rail&Fly service as a separate extra (an e-mail with a PDF document) and you change your flight reservation, the Rail&Fly service must be rebooked and paid for again. The previous ticket will be refunded immediately.

Rail&Fly tickets already issued before a reservation was changed will become invalid and will not be accepted for travel.
