Entry Regulations Worldwide

Mexico

You’re flying to Cancún with us? Here you’ll find essential information on entry requirements for Mexico.

Mexico travel requirements

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months, and for the intended duration of your stay.
  • Since 26 June 2012, it has no longer been permissible for children to be included on a parent’s passport.  Every child must have his/her own passport.
  • An onward or return ticket is required for entry, and the immigration authorities reserve the right to demand evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.
  • EU citizens travelling to Mexico as tourists may enter without a visa.
  • For entry into Mexico, you have to fill in a Tourist Card, which is valid for up to 180 days.
  • Your Tourist Card will be stamped on entry and must be kept safely, as it must be produced again when leaving Mexico.
  • A summary listing of families or groups on one Tourist Card is not allowed.

Filling in Tourist Cards online

As there can be congestion and delays at Mexico’s borders over Tourist Cards, a facility exists to fill in the Tourist Card online before departure.

You can fill in the document using the following link, then print it out and bring it with you when you fly with us:
