Yes, trained service dogs are very welcome on board with us. You must register your dog with us at least 48 hours before your departure. There are certain conditions that must be met.
We allow service dogs on all our routes. However, this depends on the rules of the destination country. Only specially trained service dogs are allowed on board. These include dogs that have been trained by organizations such as Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF). Flying is not generally advised for snub-nosed dogs.
If you want to travel abroad with your service dog, there are a few things to bear in mind. First find out about the entry, exit and transit requirements of the destination country. Check if there are any special regulations for service dogs . Make sure you have all the necessary health and entry documents for your dog. These documents confirm that your dog is healthy and vaccinated.
At Condor, we cannot check your documents completely. If the documents are incorrect, additional costs may be incurred or your dog may have to go into quarantine. So, please follow the rules carefully. If you are using a connecting flight with a different airline, please check its regulations for service dogs too.
Your service dogs must lie or sit in the footwell in front of your seat during the flight. This ensures safety and comfort for all passengers. We also suggest you keep your dog on a leash. This applies during take-off, landing and when the seat belt sign is on. On flights to and from the USA, this is mandatory during the entire flight.
Your dog can travel in the cabin or in the hold. Please check the rules for animal transport in advance to ensure a safe and pleasant trip for your dog.
Please note these instructions when taking your service dog with you:
No, there are no additional fees for bringing a trained service dog.
Your dog should be trained by an organization like Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF). For flights to and from the USA, you’ll need the Service Animal Form from the US Department of Transportation. For flights longer than 8 hours, you’ll also need the Relief Attestation form. Make sure you have these documents ready before your trip.
