Useful information about costs and registration
Need to take sports equipment? Then simply book this in addition to your normal baggage. Please note that most sports equipment items are subject to registration due to size, weight or other characteristics. Exceptions also apply. We have compiled the information on this for you below.
When flying with Condor, you have several options to add and subscribe your sports equipment. If your sports equipment is within the prescribed dimensions and weights and you book your flight through our website, you can easily add the sports equipment during your flight booking. You can also book additional sports equipment at a later date via "My trip". Alternatively, this booking can also be made by the travel agency where you booked your Condor flight.
If you don't subscribe your Sports equipment in advance, you'll have to pay more for it at the Airport. Under certain circumstances, sports equipment may not be accepted without prior registration, as there might not be enough space available on the aircraft for transport. Therefore, please register your sports equipment at least 8 hours before departure. In special cases or if you have any problems, you can contact our customer service via WhatsApp or by phone.
We carry the first piece of sports equipment free of charge for travellers in Condor Business Class.
Booking sports equipment is always subject to a fee. If your sports equipment does not exceed the following dimensions and weights, there is no additional charge:

If your sports equipment exceeds the stated weight of maximum 30 kg (66.1 lb) or the specified dimensions, we will unfortunately not be able to transport it! Condor may also refuse to transport baggage that has not been previously declared under certain circumstances.

Costs apply when registering sports equipment, which vary depending on the type of sports equipment and the flight destination. You can find the exact amount in our 'List of sports equipment subject to registration'. Please register through “My trip” or at your travel agency. In exceptional cases and if you encounter any issues, please reach out to our Customer Service (via WhatsApp or phone). Self-service counters at the airport cannot be used to drop off sports equipment.
For guests in Condor Business Class, we transport the first piece of sports baggage up to 30 kg (66.1 lb) maximum weight and with the maximum dimensions length 200 cm x width 40 cm x height 100 cm (78.7 x 15.7 x 39.3 in) or length 300 cm x width 40 cm x height 60 cm (118.1 x 15.7 x 23.6 in) at no extra charge. The registration fee for booking additional baggage is waived.
Sports equipment must not be checked in with other items. Please note: sports equipment must not contain any items other than those directly related to the practice of sport, i.e. no clothing.
Sports equipment and special baggage can only be carried in suitable packaging or transport containers. All sports equipment must be packed and checked in separately, i.e. separately from your checked baggage. Otherwise, all baggage will be charged at the current excess baggage charges, which may be higher than the flat rate for sports equipment and special baggage. The check-in staff reserve the right to randomly check the packed sports equipment and special baggage and to refuse carriage if the regulations are not complied with.
Every airline has the right to refuse carriage to passengers or baggage. These reasons are set out in Section 11.9 of Condor's GTBC "The right to refuse carriage due to non-permissible content of baggage" . You must inform the airline of any dangerous or risky contents in your baggage before you start your journey. Please contact our Customer Service Team.
Travelling with another airline as well as Condor
The costs or fees to carry your sports equipment also depend on the airline in question. If you are flying with another airline as well as Condor, e.g. on a connecting flight with another airline, then the other airline's regulations also apply. When flying with other airlines, please do not forget to register your sports equipment with them too.
Free baggage allowance, additional baggage items, weight, and possible fees depend on your route, departure and destination airport, and the fare you've booked. Condor distinguishes between four types of routes: long-haul, medium-haul, short-haul, and city short-haul flights. Your route is determined by your departure and destination airport.
Before you complete your booking, please check the baggage details to see exactly what baggage regulations apply to your chosen trip.
Baggage regulations always apply in both directions, regardless of where your trip starts.
