Additional baggage
Easily book additional baggage before you leave for the airport. Avoid higher costs for excess baggage at the check-in counter and travel with the peace of mind that you have everything you need with you.
Understanding baggage rules and prices
Free baggage allowance, additional baggage items, weight, and possible fees depend on your route, departure and destination airport, and the fare you've booked. Condor distinguishes between four types of routes: long-haul, medium-haul, short-haul, and city short-haul flights. Your route is determined by your departure and destination airport.
Before you complete your booking, please check the baggage details to see exactly what baggage regulations apply to your chosen trip.
Understanding Route Types
Baggage regulations always apply in both directions, regardless of where your trip starts.
Examples:
- A flight between Europe and the USA always counts as a long-haul flight, no matter if you start in Europe or North America.
- A flight between Germany and the Balearic Islands always counts as a short route, no matter if you start in Germany or Mallorca.
Connecting flights
Note on dimensions and weight: If you change flights during your journey and fly both legs with Condor, the more generous baggage rules for free baggage allowance and weight always apply.
Examples:
- Departure from Europe: If you fly from an intra-German or intra-European departure airport via Frankfurt to a long-haul destination (e.g. to the USA or Mexico), the baggage regulations for the long-haul flight apply on all Condor flights.
- Departure not from Europe: If you are flying from a non-European departure airport via Frankfurt to a short- or medium-haul destination (e.g., to Italy, the Canary Islands, or Morocco), the baggage regulations for the long-haul flight apply to all Condor flights.
Note regarding baggage fees: For connecting flights, baggage fees may be charged separately for each leg of the journey. The fees depend on the route of the respective flight segment with Condor.
To determine the price in advance, simply add up the amounts for:
- the first travel destination (e. g., Frankfurt as a transfer airport),
- the onward journey to the final destination (e. g. New York)
- the return flights
Example:
If you're flying from Palma de Mallorca to New York via Frankfurt, just add up the prices for all sections of the route.
Important note regarding flights with our partners: If you fly a leg of your journey with one of our partner airlines, their baggage rules and fees apply.

Checked baggage or free baggage allowance
The baggage allowance per person applies to adults and children aged 2 and over. Subject to change. Special free baggage allowance conditions apply for infants under 2 years of age. The sum of the external dimensions per item of baggage must not exceed 158cm (62.2 in), length + width + height. If the specified external dimensions or the free baggage allowance are exceeded, excess baggage and/or oversized baggage charges will apply. You can find more information on our checked baggage page.
Excess baggage
If your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance included in the fare, you will be charged excess baggage fees at the airport. Plan ahead and travel relaxed without having to worry about additional costs at the airport. If you are travelling with more baggage than planned, you can book additional baggage online up to 8 hours before your departure.

How much baggage can I take on my Condor flight?
How much checked baggage you can take on a Condor flight with a DE flight number or a Marabu flight with a DI flight number depends on the fare booked and the flight route. You can find an overview of the baggage regulations here.
Special baggage rules apply for infants under 2 years of age.
Can I divide the Condor baggage allowance?
On Condor flights that use the Weight Concept, the free baggage allowance can be freely distributed among fellow passengers. Exceptions are flights to the USA and to Canada. This applies to flights that are booked together under a single booking number.
The division only applies to checked baggage, not carry-on baggage.
Nevertheless, the maximum limits must be adhered to. This ensures that the safety and occupational health and safety conditions for airport staff are met.
Each piece of baggage must not weigh more than 32 kg. The dimensions (length + width + height) must total less than 158 cm. Different rules may apply to feeder and connecting flights with other airlines.
