Check-in at the airport
Find out how the procedure at the airport works in the following section. We guide you through the most important stages—from baggage check-in to arrival at your destination.

If you find it difficult to walk long distances or to get on board, we will gladly offer you assistance. You can book a wheelchair service, for example. For more information, please visit our accessible travel page .
Families with small children can take a buggy or baby carriage with them to the gate. The buggy is loaded here free of charge. After arrival you can collect it again at the baggage carousel.
After dropping off your baggage, it will be loaded by the staff at the departure airport and unloaded at your destination. Every step of this process is supported by clever technology. Only in exceptional cases does something go wrong. If your suitcase has not arrived, we will of course support you. This also applies if your baggage has been damaged. We have put together an overview of our lost baggage service and your rights to compensation.
If you have left something on board the aircraft, please contact the lost and found office in the arrivals hall of your airport.
