By making a climate contribution, you are joining us in supporting three projects by our partner myclimate as well as the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). You have the option of selecting a package tailored to your needs and personal use. You can choose from eight different climate packages.

You can make your climate contribution for every Condor or Marabu flight. This contribution will be used proportionately to support the three climate projects by our renowned partner myclimate as well as for increasing our future use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on Condor flights.
Eight different climate packages are available to you. Either add one of the climate contribution packages directly during your flight booking or afterwards via My trip.
The following section explains the proportions of the climate contribution in the respective packages that are allocated to three selected climate protection projects and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF):
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is an umbrella term for all aviation fuels that are produced without the use of fossil raw materials such as petroleum. These fuels reduce the CO₂ footprint by up to 80 %. With electricity-based Power-to-Liquid (PtL) fuels, CO₂ reductions will be even higher in the future compared to fossil kerosene (> 90%). SAF are blended with conventional fossil kerosene for use in aviation.
Alternative fuels are the only way to decarbonise aviation with existing technology. As part of the climate contribution, Condor purchases SAF and will use it on future Condor flights. These are SAF quantities that exceed the legally prescribed quantities.
Moreover, according to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) German Aerospace Center (DLR), SAF can help reduce contrails and climate impacts in aviation. Because SAF contains fewer aromatic compounds than kerosene, resulting in fewer soot particles. This reduces, for example, the formation of ice crystals and thus the formation of cirrus clouds, which contribute to global warming. In addition, SAF could have a positive impact on other non-CO₂ emissions such as nitrogen oxides, thereby further reducing the impact on the climate.
