Find out more about our Economy Green, Premium Green and Business Green fares, and their contribution to future CO₂ savings potential.
As part of the Green Fares – Economy Green, Premium Green and Business Green – you contribute an amount equivalent to the kerosene-related CO₂ emissions of your Condor or Marabu flight. This contribution to the future CO₂ savings potential is allocated proportionally to the promotion of two selected climate protection projects run by our renowned partner myclimate and to the percentage increase in the use of sustainable aviation fuels (Sustainable Aviation Fuel – SAF).
Would you like to find out more about the projects supported in collaboration with myclimate? Have a look at our overview of all climate protection projects.

The following explains how Green Fares appropriately support the selected climate protection projects and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The basis for the extent of support for climate protection projects and the use of additional SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) is the flight-specific CO₂ emissions of the respective travel class of your Condor or Marabu flight. The calculation of kerosene-related CO₂ emissions is based on the IATA standard RP 1726 using historical flight data.
The Green Fares are not booked additionally. They are independent and directly bookable fares in Economy Class, Premium Economy Class or Business Class. With Economy Green, Premium Green and Business Green, we provide all the advantages of our fare families, along with more flexible rebooking options and additional benefits.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is an umbrella term for all aviation fuels that are produced without the use of fossil raw materials such as petroleum. These fuels reduce the CO₂ footprint by up to 80 %. With electricity-based Power-to-Liquid (PtL) fuels, CO₂ reductions will be even higher in the future compared to fossil kerosene (> 90%). SAF are blended with conventional fossil kerosene for use in aviation.
Alternative fuels are the only way to decarbonise aviation with existing technology. As part of the Green Fare, Condor is purchasing SAF and applying it to future Condor flights. These are SAF quantities that exceed the legally prescribed quantities.
Moreover, according to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), SAF can help reduce contrails and climate effects in air traffic. Because SAF contains fewer aromatic compounds than kerosene, resulting in fewer soot particles. This reduces, for example, the formation of ice crystals and thus the formation of cirrus clouds, which contribute to global warming. In addition, SAF could have a positive impact on other non-CO₂ emissions such as nitrogen oxides, thereby further reducing the impact on the climate.
You can select the Green Fare directly when booking your flight on the Condor website. Alternatively, you can change the fare later in "My trip". You can also select the Green Fare if you book your flight with a travel agency.
In addition to the contribution to climate protection projects and SAF, the Green Fare offers:
Yes, you can book the Green Fare on Marabu flights in all available travel classes. The contribution you make to future CO₂ savings potential within the Green Fare is allocated in the same proportion as on Condor flights.
SAF is an umbrella term for all aviation fuels that are produced without the use of fossil raw materials such as petroleum. These fuels reduce the CO₂ footprint by up to 80%. They are blended with conventional fossil kerosene. With the technology currently available, this process is the only way to decarbonise air travel.
