Keeping you informed: To make sure you're well prepared for your trip, we'll provide you with a detailed itinerary and tips for everything from check-in to spending time at the gate.

Travel preparation

Before you set off, check the entry requirements for your destination early. If you are traveling in Europe, you can usually fly with your ID card.
If you have booked a flight to the USA, Africa, or Asia, it is best to check directly via our partner Sherpa whether you need a visa or anything else.
Please also have these documents ready if you want to use our online check-in. It's always available 24 hours before departure.
Now it's time to pack: Familiarize yourself with Condor's baggage policy well in advance and work through the following questions: What is not allowed in my carry-on baggage? How heavy can my suitcase be? And how can I book more baggage for my trip?
Please note that payments for all Condor services at Frankfurt Airport are cashless only, either by credit or debit card.

Getting to the airport and parking

Allow enough time for the journey to the airport. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2.5 hours before departure, and at least 3 hours for flights to the USA or Canada.
Take advantage of our Rail&Fly offer for a particularly relaxed journey by train.

Your check-in options

Online check-in

Use our free online check-in from 24 hours before departure and receive your boarding pass digitally on your smartphone or to print out in advance.
If you are traveling with carry-on baggage only, you can go directly to the security check with your boarding pass on the departure date.
Guests with checked baggage can use the separate baggage drop-off with their boarding pass.

Late night check-in

With Condor, you can check in at the airport and drop off your baggage the evening before departure. You will then receive your boarding pass and can proceed directly to the security check and then to the gate on the day of departure.
This will save you time on the departure date, and you may be able to get a few minutes of extra sleep if you have a very early flight.

Check-in at the airport

Complete your check-in at our counter! We will be here for you at least two hours before departure, and three hours earlier for flights to the USA and Canada.
In our overview you can find out in which area of the airport you will find the Condor check-in counters.
Please allow enough time for longer journeys at the airport and have your travel documents ready: ID card or passport and your booking number. You will find the booking number on the confirmation that we or your tour operator have sent you by email.
Airport check-in is usually free of charge. If you have booked our budget Economy Light fare, you can book the service for a small fee of $15.00.
Alternatively, you can of course use our free online check-in.

Find out about the procedure at the airport in the following section. We guide you through the most important stages – from baggage check-in to arrival at your destination.

Baggage check-in

If you use our airport check-in or the check-in machine, you can drop off your baggage at the same time.
If you have already checked in online, hand in your baggage at our counter. If you are traveling with carry-on baggage only, you can go directly to the security check.

Security check

After you have checked in and dropped off your baggage, proceed to the security check.
There may be longer waiting times, especially before public holidays and during the peak travel season. We recommend visiting the website of your departure airport in advance to find out how long you will have to queue.
When flying with Condor, you can always take a bag with a maximum size of 16 in x 12 in x 4 in. If you have booked our Economy Light fare, no additional carry-on baggage is included. However, you can book this at any time for a small fee via "My trip".
To avoid stress and delays, please pay attention to what is allowed in your carry-on baggage and what is not. You can find more information about which items are permitted in your carry-on baggage here.
Only liquid containers with a maximum capacity of 3.4 oz each may be carried in your carry-on baggage. All containers must be packed in a sealable 1-quart plastic bag. A normal freezer bag, for example, which you can buy in the supermarket, can be used.

Passport control

If you are traveling within the Schengen area, you do not have to go through passport control after the security check. You can proceed directly to the gate. Here you only need to show your ID card or passport when boarding.
If you are traveling to a country that is not part of the Schengen area, you will go through passport control.
Many large airports now have electronic controls. The electronic system of the German Federal Police is called EasyPass. You will need an electronic passport. You can find all information on the Federal Police website.
Attention: Children under 12 years of age cannot use the machines.

Your way to the gate and departure

You will usually find out which gate you are departing from when you check in. When you receive a boarding pass at the counter, you will find the number on it.
Alternatively, you can also check the display boards at the airport. It is important that you know your flight number. Condor flight numbers always start with DE, Marabu flights start with DI.
If your gate changes, this will also be displayed on the monitors at the airport.
Follow the signs at the airport to get to the gate. Please ensure you reach the gate one hour before departure to board the aircraft.
The gate closes half an hour before departure. This means that all passengers must be on board the aircraft by then.
Distances at the airport can be long, so allow enough time.

Note for passengers with disabilities and families with small children

Families with small children can take a stroller or baby carriage with them to the gate. The stroller is loaded there free of charge. Upon arrival, you can collect it at the baggage carousel.

Suitcase lost or damaged

After dropping off your baggage, it will be loaded by the staff at the departure airport and unloaded at your destination. Every step of this process is supported by clever technology. Only in rare cases does something go wrong. If your suitcase has not arrived, we will of course assist you. This also applies if your baggage has been damaged. If you have left something on board the aircraft, please contact the lost and found office in the arrivals hall of your airport.
