Feeder, connecting, and onward flights with the partner airline, in conjunction with a Condor flight are typically operated in Economy Class, even if a different class is booked for the Condor flight.
You have booked a flight from Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro via Recife. The flight from Frankfurt to Recife is operated by Condor, while the onward flight is operated with GOL after a stopover (break of more than 24 hours).
In this case, Condor’s baggage policy will apply to the flight to Recife, while those of GOL apply to the onward flight to Rio de Janeiro.
There are special baggage rules for flights to, from or via the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. These rules have been issued by the US and Canadian authorities (US Department of Transportation or Canadian Transportation Agency).
Please note: Unfortunately, it is not possible to transport animals in the cargo hold on feeder and connecting flights with our partner airlines.
If you have booked a Condor flight that includes a connecting flight with another airline (provided this is listed on the same Condor ticket), the baggage conditions of the airline that operates the flight with the most significant carrier of the journey (normally the geographically-longest segment) apply to the entire journey.
However, the conditions of the respective airline operating the flight apply for registering extras or special services, such as sports equipment and seat reservations. Please contact the airline operating the feeder and/or connecting flight.
What is meant by "most significant carrier"?
The most significant carrier is determined by IATA Resolution 302, with which all airlines comply worldwide. This resolution divides the world up into three large tariff areas:

If your flight is being operated by an airline other than the airline listed on your flight ticket (known as a codeshare flight), the checked baggage conditions specified on your booking confirmation apply.

If you have booked a Condor flight that involves a feeder and/or connecting flight with another airline, Condor’s policy will apply to the entire journey (including the return flight, providing this is included on the same Condor ticket).

If you have booked a Condor flight that involves a feeder and/or connecting flight with another airline, and Condor is the first operator of the flight, Condor’s policy will apply to the entire journey (including the return flight, providing this is included on the same Condor ticket).
If Condor is not the airline operating your first flight, a special policy may apply to your entire flight itinerary. In this case, the free baggage allowance for your first flight is that for the class of travel booked on the Condor segment (Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class). If the operator of the feeder flight does not offer the class of travel booked on Condor, your checked baggage allowance will be at least the weight allowed in Economy Class.

Codeshare flights are operated in partnership between two or more airlines. It essentially means they are offering a flight together. For example, Alaska Airlines sells a flight that Condor actually operates. This makes the travel experience easier for the entire journey.

Generally, online check-in is available for connecting flights if all flights are part of a single booking and operated by the same airline or its partners. For separate bookings or longer stopovers, you might need to check-in again.

On connecting flights or feeders (e.g. with Lufthansa or Alaska Airlines), unfortunately, animals cannot be transported in the cargo hold.
No, you can only reserve seats for flights with Condor (flight number DE) or Marabu (flight number DI). If you've got a connecting flight, for instance with Lufthansa or Alaska Airlines, you need to book your seat directly with that airline.
Feeder and connecting flights with another airline can only be booked in Economy Class.
The responsibility depends on the type of your booking. If you booked all flights together, the first airline is usually responsible. For individual bookings, you are responsible yourself for making your connecting flight.
