In general, EasyPASS can only be used by people who are over 12 years old. You need a valid electronic passport or German electronic identity card.
Furthermore, persons with a valid electronic passport from the following countries can use the automated passport control:
We advise you to be at the airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight. This will give you enough time for check-in and security.
You can see which gate your Condor flight departs from on your boarding pass. It is also shown on the display boards at the airport. The gate may change at short notice, however. Please check the airport information regularly.
The time for the security check varies. This depends on the airport and the travel time. On the websites of many airports, you can find up-to-date information on waiting times. There you can find out more in advance, including a list of our departure airports and links for more information.
If you are flying to the USA, you must comply with stricter safety regulations. These rules apply in particular to the screening of passengers and carry-on baggage. It is therefore best to allow extra time at the airport before departure.
The Entry/Exit System (EES) is a digital border control system operated by eu-LISA . It applies to short stays by non-EU citizens and covers every entry into and exit from the Schengen Area. The system replaces manual passport stamps with biometric data– a facial image and fingerprints – as well as information about the travel document and the time and place of the border crossing. By using digital records instead of manual checks, the EES reduces errors, improves verification and strengthens border security. It will be gradually rolled out at all border control points, with some locations being converted earlier than others.
The EES focuses on electronic registration of entry and exit by non-EU citizens. In contrast, ETIAS is an online travel authorization that many visa-exempt travelers must get before their trip and is currently scheduled to roll out by the end of 2026. Together, EES and ETIAS form part of the EU's wider border management systems.
Prior registration for the EES before your trip isn't required, as registration occurs directly at the border. However, make sure you're traveling with a valid biometric passport with an electronic chip and plan enough time for the updated procedures when you arrive.
