Flights to Basel

One of the first and main attractions to explore in Basel is the Basler Münster. Climb up the steps to the top and walk on the outer deck to see the amazing panorama of the river and the old city. A spectacular architecture example of Romanesque and Gothic styles.

If you just have time for one museum in Basil, this should be the one. It has a fantastic art collection including works by Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet and Chagall. Give a minimum of two hours to enjoy the collection.

A medieval Old Town resting in the heart of the city is sheer delight. You can begin with the Marktplatz, dominated by the Rathaus to walk through Spalenberg and the Spalentor city gate. The narrow alleyways riddling the hillside are among the most enchanting in old Basel.

The structure stands out in the Markplatz with its spectacular dark red color, amazing paintings and topped with a golden tip. The exterior is most intriguing with a number of statues and wall paintings inside. Don't miss the beautiful newly restored courtyard.

It offers amongst the most widespread collections. They include archaeological finds from the pre–Christian era comprising of religious objects and documents. 15thC tapestries illustrating the dance of death and 16thC choir stall are the highlights.
