Credit cards are becoming more popular as a simple and secure means of paying for online bookings and purchases on board our aircraft. If you have selected “credit card/debit card" as your payment method, you will be asked to specify the issuing bank, credit card number, cardholder's name, expiration date and the security code on your card (usually CVC or CVV code).
Credit card payment on board
If you wish to pay on board with your credit card, the general credit card limit does not apply. Instead, the limit for offline transactions is used. This means that payments can only be made up to the amount of the individual offline limit. If you have any questions about your offline limit, please contact your card issuer.
In addition to the credit card number, each credit card also has a security code, which you must also enter each time you make a booking. The code is located on the back of your card in the signature field.
Common abbreviations for this code include Card Validation Code (CVC), Card Verification Value (CVV), Card Verification Number (CVN), Card Security Code (CSC) and Card Code Verification (CCV).
Discover, JCB, Mastercard and VISA use a 3-digit CVC that is printed in the signature field on the back of the credit card.
American Express and Diners Club use a 4-digit CVV code that is printed on the front of the credit card above the credit card number.
3D SecureTM is a security standard developed for credit card payments online that complies with the new legal requirements.
Condor complies with the new legal requirements and has enabled strong customer authentication on all of its own payment transactions. Strong customer authentication is a requirement of the Second EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2) for payment service providers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or credit and debit cards issued in the EEA. Online payments must be confirmed by at least two factors.
The procedure offers optimal protection against card misuse online and is designed to reduce the risk of fraud through identity fraud when paying online.

Please note that Condor will never ask you to send your bank details by email. This data is entered exclusively on the payment page of our websites and/or through your bank's authentication procedure.
If 3D Secure authentication with your card is required by your bank and you are using it for the first time, you must register first with your bank.

If your credit card is declined at the time of payment, please contact your bank. Only the bank that issued your credit card can tell you the reason for the decline. (You can usually find your card provider's telephone number on the back of your credit card.)

Possible reasons for rejection
If your credit card is declined during payment, we'll let you know right away with an error message. You can then try booking again or select a different credit card for payment.

If you booked your flight online, we will send your booking confirmation to the email address you provided. This is suitable for submission to the tax authorities.
