Round up for the future
Voluntarily round up your airfare and support investments in sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).
Voluntarily round up your airfare and support investments in sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).
By voluntarily rounding up your fare, you're making a direct contribution to more sustainable aviation and helping Condor to use more sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This is a fuel that significantly reduces CO₂ emissions compared to conventional kerosene. Each round-up goes exclusively toward additional SAF quantities that exceed the legal requirements and will be used to refuel Condor aircraft within the next twelve months.
During the flight booking process, you can voluntarily round up the total price of your flight. After entering your flight details and passenger information, the option will appear on the payment overview. With one click, you confirm that you would like to support the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) — then choose whether you would like to round up to the nearest $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 or $100.00.
Yes. You decide if you want to round up the final price of your flight booking to the nearest $10.00, $20.00, $50.00, or $100.00 amount. The total price will be displayed to you in your flight booking.
Yes, even when flying with our sister company Marabu, you can choose to voluntarily round up the total price. The rounded-up amount will also be exclusively invested in using more Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on Condor flights.
If you want to cancel your flight, the rounded-up amount will still be invested in using more Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on Condor flights and cannot be refunded.
If your flight is canceled by Condor or Marabu, you'll get the rounded-up amount back.
The rounded-up amount will be used by Condor exclusively for using additional Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The quantities of SAF purchased exceed the legally prescribed requirements and will be used for refueling Condor aircraft over the next 12 months.
Condor offers several options for passengers to help create a more sustainable aviation future:
All contributions are used exclusively for these purposes and are completely voluntary. The SAF bought with these contributions is more than the legally required amounts, allowing you to make a bigger contribution to more sustainable aviation.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is an umbrella term for all aviation fuels that are produced without the use of fossil raw materials such as petroleum. These fuels reduce the CO₂ footprint by up to 80%. With electricity-based Power-to-Liquid (PtL) fuels, CO₂ reductions will be even higher in the future compared to fossil kerosene (> 90%). SAF are blended with conventional fossil kerosene for use in aviation.
Alternative fuels are the only way to decarbonize aviation with existing technology. As part of the climate contribution, Condor purchases SAF and will use it on future Condor flights. These are SAF quantities that exceed the legally prescribed quantities.
According to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), SAF can also help reduce contrails and climate impacts in aviation. This is because SAF contains fewer aromatic compounds than kerosene, resulting in fewer soot particles. In turn, this reduces ice crystal formation and thus the formation of cirrus clouds, which contribute to global warming. In addition, SAF could positive influence other non-CO₂ emissions such as nitrogen oxides, further mitigating the climate impact.
