Excess Baggage

The amount and weight of baggage you can take with you depends on your destination and the fare you have chosen.

Destinations (zone 1)

Balearic Islands, Balkans, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, Spanish and Portuguese mainland        

Costs for excess baggage: 
€ 12.00 | US$14.00 per kg (payable at airport only)

Surcharge if the permitted baggage size of 158 cm is exceeded:   
+ € 100.00 | US$110.00 per baggage item (payable at airport only)

Costs for excess baggage Economy Light fare:
Passengers travelling in Economy Class at a rate that does not include a free baggage allowance pay the following excess baggage charge once per passenger and route for the first 20 kg free baggage allowance: € 75.00 | US$85.00

 

Destinations (zones 2 and 6)

Zone 2: Iceland, Canary Islands, Cape Verde & Madeira, Cyprus, Malta, Greece & Turkey, Egypt (HRG), Morocco, Tunisia, Gambia & United Arab Emirates
Zone 6: Armenia, Egypt (SPX), Georgia, Iraq, Lebanon

Costs for excess baggage: 
€ 15.00 per kg | US$18.00 per kg (payable at airport only)

Passengers travelling in Economy Class at a rate that does not include a free baggage allowance pay the following excess baggage charge once per passenger and route for the first 20 kg free baggage allowance: € 100.00| US$120.00

USA, Canada & Puerto Rico

• First piece of baggage: (Economy Light only) € 100 | US$120 | CAN$150 (up to max. 23 kg)
• First additional piece of baggage: (Economy Class & Premium Economy Class) € 150 | US$180 | CAD$225 (up to max. 23 kg)
• Second additional piece of baggage: (Economy Class, Premium Economy Class) € 150 | US$180 | CAD$225 (up to max. 23 kg, payable at airport only)
• Surcharge if weight exceeds the free baggage allowance limit (heavier than 23 kg): +€ 100.00 | US$120.00 | CAN$150 (up to max. 23 kg, payable at airport only)
• Surcharge if size exceeds the free baggage size limit (larger than 158 cm): + € 200.00 | US$240.00 | CAN$310 (payable at airport only)
• Surcharge if size and weight exceed the free baggage allowance limit (larger than 158 cm and heavier than 23 kg): + € 300.00 | US$360.00 | CAN$460 (up to max. 32 kg, payable at airport only)
• For Business Class passengers, 2 pieces of baggage up to max. 32 kg each are free of charge.

All prices apply per flight (one-way). Conversions to foreign currencies will be made using the daily exchange rate. Subject to change without notice.

Please note that excess baggage weighing more than 20 kg must be registered in advance. Please register your excess baggage weighing more than 20 kg via the Special Reservations service of the respective airline or at a travel agency of your choice. In general, checked baggage may not weigh more than 32 kg per baggage item. This regulation applies regardless of any paid excess baggage.

The amount of hand baggage you can take with you depends on your destination and the selected fare.

• Economy Class
• Premium Economy Class
• Business Class

If your hand baggage exceeds the maximum permitted weight or you take more hand baggage with you, we will charge the following fees at the airport:

• Zones 1, 2 and 6: € 75 | US$90
• Zones 3-4: € 100 | US$120
• Zone 5: € 100 | US$120 | CAD$150

The Economy Light fare includes one small bag as carry-on baggage. You can only book an additional piece of hand baggage in this fare up to 3 hours before departure via My Booking - from just US$13.00.
