Booking: the flight search

When searching for a flight, you can determine your individual flight search criteria:

Departure and destination airport
After selecting your destination airport, you will be provided with the appropriate departure airports. This obviously also works vice versa if you enter your departure airport first.
All flight combinations which can be reserved are therefore shown with a view and a "click".
If you wish to reset the "All Departure Airports" & "All Destination Airports" display, please select one of these settings.
We have made additional region selections available to you at the end of the alphabetical list of departure and destination airports. With this selection, you can have combinable departure and destination airports (open-jaw flights) displayed.

Flight date
With our detailed calendar, you have an immediate overview of the complete bookable flight program and can determine your flight date with two clicks. Choose the month first and then click on the required flight day on the calendar page. The selection can obviously be changed just as easily in the same way.

Booking category
As well as offering Economy Class on all longhaul flights, Condor also offers you the chance to enjoy an additional level of service and comfort in Comfort Class and Premium Economy Class.
And from 1.9.2010, we'll also be adding Premium Economy Class to almost all our short- and mediumhaul flights, which for a small additional charge will give you more legroom and service than Economy Class.

Tariff class
All displayed flight offers are based on the Base rate. For greater flexibility e.g. if you need to change or cancel your flights, you can add the Flex Relax package during the course of your booking.
The Special Rate tariff is available for flights in association with special offers. The Flex Relax package is not available with the special offer tariff; cancellations and reimbursements are not possible, and flight details cannot be changed.

Passengers
Very important: please enter the exact number of passengers here! Please also ensure that the ages of the children and babies must still meet the requirement on the flight date.

Booking: selecting the search results

We are only satisfied after we have been able to make you an attractive flight offer.This offer should obviously perfectly match your selection made in the flight search criteria. In addition, we also show you alternative dates before/after your required flight dates as it is possible that we can make you a better offer a few days before/after your required dates. Should there not be an appropriate offer in our flight schedule for your flight date or should the corresponding flights already be fully booked, we offer you the search result which has the slightest deviation from your required dates. Displayed prices are for one adult, and represent the one-way full price including service and miles. We have placed a smiley face next to flights with a Condor special price.

Price details
The price details include details of the individual ticket prices. Should your flight query include additional passengers, the individual ticket prices per person will also be stated here.

By clicking on the tariff link you will receive information on the tariff conditions having validity for your requested flight booking. An additional link leads to the terms of business from all of the tariff condition pages.

Flight details
Here, you are provided with all of the relevant flight information: e.g. aircraft type, flight number, route, flight time, etc.

Flex Relax

When booking a Base Rate we give you the option of adding a Flex Relax package which offers you greater flexibility e.g. if changing your booking or in the event of cancellation etc.

Change search and selection
You can at all times change your search criteria or selection within the booking steps. The "back" button takes you back to the previous step in the booking process.

Passengers
The names of the passengers and the ages of children and babies are required for your required flight booking.

Data transfer security information
We use secure technology and your data is processed in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act.

The Security Server Software (SSL) used by us is an encryption process which is recognised on the Internet. The encryption of your data comprises the Login data, the complete customer data including the credit card data and the booking data.

You are shown the encryption of your data by a closed padlock in the browser.  

Booking: the booking

We obviously require some information from you in order for a booking to be possible. Please also refer to our “Conditions of Carriage/Standard Terms of Business” (Number 17.) and “Data protection declaration”. Should you have made previous bookings with us and have saved your customer data with your Login and password, your data is automatically displayed after you have logged in. You can obviously still change the information.  

Forms of payment

Flights booked online can only be paid for by credit card (MasterCard, VISA or American Express). When choosing US$ as your currency it is not possible to pay by American Express). The entire ticket price is immediately charged and the travel documents are sent out. For more information, please see our Conditions of Carriage/Standard Terms of Business.
If you pay by credit card, an additional one-time fee for each booking may be charged depending on your credit card provider. For greater security, when authorising the credit card we check the credit card number and expiry date, and also the international CVC or CVV safety code (Cardholder Verification Code/ Value) as an additional safety feature. This is a 3- or 4-digit code in the signature box on the back of the credit card, or on the front of the card above the credit card number.
For payment by credit card, Condor raises a payment transaction charge per booking of 8 euros. Payment by Karstadt Mastercard, Thomas Cook Card, Valovis Premium Mastercard and Visa Classic Caja Madrid is free of charge.

Booking
You send your booking by pressing the "book now" button. You will then be issued with a booking confirmation with all of the flight data, your customer number and the special booking number for this flight. Please print this confirmation out and store it carefully in case there should be any questions.
After completing the booking, you will be sent an additional booking conformation to the e-mail address stated in your customer data. This inlcudes additional flight-related data such as the luggage allowance, etc. Please ensure that you receive this e-mail. Please contact our Service Center should this not be the case.

Seat and XL Seat booking

You can book your favourite seat on the aircraft or an XL seat with extra leg room with just a few clicks on the Condor website. Immediately after completing your online flight reservation you can book your desired seat or afterwards with the Special Services option. For further information or to check out our current prices, click on the Seat Reservation and XL Seat pages on the Condor website.  

Online Check-in

Use our Online Check-in and enjoy a stress-free start to your vacation. Reserve your favorite seat online, over the telephone, or at the travel agency and conveniently check in at home or in the office. Then, simply print out your boarding pass with your own computer.

Requirements for Online Check-in
Using our Online Check-in is only possible in combination with a valid seat reservation. You can reserve a seat right after your online flight booking, belatedly online, over the telephone, or at the travel agency up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure.

Possibility for Online Check-in
You can easily check in online between 30 hours and 2 hours prior to departure on www.condor.com.

Checking in online is this easy
In order to successfully login on www.condor.com and afterwards check in online, you need the surname of one passenger who is listed in the booking as well as your booking code/e-ticket number, the flight number and departure date. You will find your booking code on your travel documents. The Condor flight-only booking code can be 9789709, for example.

Travelers with/without baggage
Passengers with carry-on baggage can go directly to the gate. A separate “Online Check-in” is available to passengers with baggage.

Unfortunately, the Online Check-in is not available in combination with certain services
Passengers traveling with animals, unaccompanied minors and passengers with reduced mobility cannot use the Online Check-in. Furthermore, Online Check-in is unavailable for group reservations of more than 9 passengers and to travelers flying with special baggage, which requires a fee to be paid at the airport.

Families with children
Both families with infants under the age of 2 (not entitled to their own seat) and families with children over the age of 2 (entitled to their own seat) can use the Online Check-in. Families with infants are kindly asked to make a seat reservation via e-mail up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure.  

Miles & More

As Condor is a partner of the Miles & More programme you can use your collected miles easily - e.g. reserve a seat in the Condor Comfort Class or reach your final destination even less priced with the Lufthansa programme "Fly Smart flight awards".  

Baggage

Please refer to the information on hand baggage/baggage allowance. The baggage category also contains information on excess baggage, sports equipment, transporting pets etc.  

Cuba tourist cards/departure tax

The costs for the Entry Card are not included in our flight prices for Cuba. Further inforamtion on Cuba tourist cards/departure tax.

Information on the EU black list

Travel agencies, tour operators and airlines are required to keep the official black list (protecting European skies from unsafe airlines) updated and available to customers at all times.

Current detailed taxes/fees for flights from the United States and Canada

For international destinations, local government and other authorities impose certain taxes and fees. Please consider that all goverment-imposed taxes and fees and the September 11th Security Fee up to USD 48 per oneway from USA/Canada to Germany are always part of the CONDOR "TICKET PRICE" and therefore included! Total prices for international itineraries may round up or down by USD 2 due to required fare conversion from EUR to USD.
